A ground-up redesign of a mobile banking app focused on clarity and calm. Simplified the money-movement flow and rebuilt the design system.
The work
Process
Started with 14 user interviews and a heuristic audit of the existing app. Mapped the core jobs, then ran two rounds of prototyping and usability testing before handing off tokens and specs to engineering.
Outcome
Task completion for transfers rose from 61% to 92% in usability tests. Support tickets tagged “confusing UI” dropped by roughly a third in the first quarter after launch.
